Pipiads Review: Is the TikTok Ad Spy Tool Worth It?

Pipiads is a TikTok ad spy and product research tool, starting from $49 a month, and it is worth it if you sell products through TikTok ads and want to see what other sellers are pushing before you commit to a product or a creative. If your ad spend lives mainly on Facebook and Instagram, it is the wrong tool, and the free Meta Ad Library will do more for you.

That is my verdict in two sentences. The rest of this review explains who gets real value from Pipiads, where it falls short, and what I would use instead depending on the job.

A note on how I wrote this: I am not walking through screenshots of every menu, because feature sets in this category change every few months. I'm focusing on what Pipiads is known for, how it fits a real research workflow, and the decision you actually have to make. Check their site for current plans and features before you pay.

What is Pipiads?

Pipiads is a paid ad intelligence tool built around TikTok ads. It is best known among dropshippers and ecommerce operators who use it to find products that are being advertised heavily on TikTok, and to study the ads selling them.

The core idea is simple. TikTok doesn't give you a full, searchable list of every ad from every advertiser in every country. Pipiads collects TikTok ads and lets you search them by keyword, product and advertiser, sort by engagement and how long they have run, and see the landing page or store behind an ad.

That last part is a big reason product researchers use it. Seeing the store behind a winning ad tells you the price, the offer and how the product is positioned, which is most of what you need to decide whether to test it yourself.

How much does Pipiads cost?

Pipiads starts from $49 a month. Higher plans exist, and pricing in this category changes often, so check the Pipiads pricing page for the current tiers, limits and whether a trial is offered before you sign up.

Here's where that entry price sits against the tools people usually compare it with, using starting prices verified in August 2026:

ToolStarting priceMain lean
TikTok Creative CenterFreeTikTok's own top ads and trends
TikTok Commercial Content LibraryFreeAds shown in Europe, searchable by advertiser
BigSpyFrom $9 (free tier)Cheap cross-platform search
DropispyFree plan, then $29.90Ecommerce ad research
PipiadsFrom $49TikTok ads and product research
MineaFrom $49Multi-platform product research
ForeplayFrom $59 ($49 annual)Saving and organising ads for creative teams
AdSpy$149/mo, no trialFacebook and Instagram archive search

At $49, Pipiads sits in the middle of the market, at the same entry price as Minea and well below AdSpy. The free TikTok options at the top of the table are not filler. They are where I would start before paying for anything.

Who is Pipiads for?

In my experience, three kinds of buyer get their money's worth.

Dropshippers choosing products. If your business is finding a product, testing it, and moving on when it saturates, then spotting products early on TikTok is the job itself. One good product find covers a long stretch of subscription. This is the crowd Pipiads is most popular with.

Ecommerce brands selling on TikTok. If TikTok is a major channel for you, seeing which hooks and formats other sellers in your category keep running is direct creative research. Short vertical video lives or dies in the first two seconds, and watching lots of real examples sharpens your instincts fast.

Agencies running TikTok for clients. Pulling a category snapshot for a new client pitch is far quicker in a dedicated tool than in TikTok's free sources, which aren't built for competitor lookups across countries.

Our guide on finding winning products with an ad spy tool covers the product side of this workflow in more depth.

What are Pipiads' strengths?

Being fair to it, the strengths are real.

It is TikTok-first. Many ad spy tools grew up on Facebook and treat TikTok as an add-on. Pipiads was built around TikTok ads, so the research flow fits how TikTok sellers think.

Search that suits product research. Searching by product or keyword, then sorting by engagement and run time, is exactly how a product hunter works. You can go from a broad niche to a shortlist of products with active ad pushes quickly.

The store behind the ad. Seeing the landing page or store connects the creative to the offer. A great hook pointing at a weak store teaches you something different from a plain hook pointing at a strong offer.

Run time as a signal. Like on Meta, an ad that keeps running is usually working, because advertisers stop paying for ads that don't. Sorting by how long an ad has run is the most useful filter in any spy tool, and Pipiads gives you it for TikTok.

Where does Pipiads fall short?

The limits matter most if you are not a TikTok seller.

It is not a Meta tool. If most of your budget goes to Facebook and Instagram, you need Meta research first. TikTok trends can inform Meta creative, but a TikTok-first database is a roundabout way to study the platform you actually spend on.

No tool sees spend or profit. Pipiads, like every spy tool, cannot see another advertiser's spend, ROAS or margin. A product with lots of visible ad activity might still be losing money for the seller. Treat what you see as signals, not results.

Product discovery is not creative craft. If you already know what you sell and your problem is that your ads don't convert, a product discovery tool is the wrong shape of spend. You need a deep read of winning ads in your exact category, which you can often get for free.

Saturation cuts both ways. Everyone using the same tool sees the same trending products. By the time a product tops a popular spy tool, plenty of other sellers have seen it too. Speed and your own angle matter more than the tool.

Is Pipiads worth it for Meta-focused teams?

Mostly, no. And that isn't a knock on Pipiads.

If your spend is on Facebook and Instagram, the Meta Ad Library at facebook.com/ads/library is free and shows every active ad from any advertiser worldwide, with a "Started running on" date on each card. That start date is the same longevity signal you would pay a spy tool for. TikTok has nothing quite as complete, which is exactly why paid TikTok tools have a market and why paid Meta tools are a harder sell.

There's another overlap worth knowing. Brands running TikTok-style video almost always run the same creative on Instagram Reels and Facebook too. So the Meta library is often the fastest free window into a brand's TikTok creative as well.

The Meta library's real gaps are that it has no download button and ads vanish when they are paused. Here is how I deal with that: I search the brand, pick out the long-running ads by start date, and save them with our free extension, the Meta Ad Library downloader, which adds a Download button to every ad and can export a whole search to one ZIP with a searchable swipe board and a CSV. The manual routes are in our guide to downloading Facebook Ad Library videos.

Whatever you save, copy the angle, not the asset. Studying public ads is standard practice. Re-uploading someone else's video as your own ad is not. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

What are the best Pipiads alternatives?

It depends on which part of Pipiads you actually need.

For free TikTok research: start with TikTok's own tools. Creative Center Top Ads shows high performers that TikTok selects, with filters for region and industry, and the Commercial Content Library lets you search any brand's ads shown in Europe. Our TikTok ad library guide shows how to search both properly.

For multi-platform product research: Minea starts from $49 and covers several social platforms with a strong product research lean. Our Minea review goes through where it fits. Dropispy, with a free plan and paid from $29.90, is a lower-cost option for ecommerce research; see our Dropispy review.

For the cheapest paid test: BigSpy has a free tier and paid plans from $9, and includes TikTok among its networks.

For Meta research: the free Meta Ad Library first, then a paid archive like AdSpy at $149 a month only if you need to search ads that have already stopped running.

So, is Pipiads worth it?

If you find products to sell and TikTok is where you sell them, yes, it is a reasonable buy from $49 a month, and it compares well against Minea at the same price for TikTok-heavy work. If you are a brand whose ad budget sits on Facebook and Instagram, put that money elsewhere and use the free Meta Ad Library for competitor research.

The rule I use for every spy tool applies here too: count the research hours a week you would spend in it. If you can't name the question only this tool answers, don't pay for it yet.
