Lawyer Facebook Ads Examples From the Ad Library

Lawyer Facebook ads that keep running name one practice area, one situation, and one next step. The live examples in the Meta Ad Library make that obvious: long-running creatives say "car crash this month, free case review" rather than "aggressive representation you can trust."
This is a swipe-file guide. How to find those ads, which formats survive, and what to copy versus leave alone.
What do long-running lawyer Facebook ads look like?
Five patterns cover most of what stays live.
1. The matter-first static. First line is the situation. Car accident, unfair dismissal, visa refusal, custody, DUI. Location in the same breath. This is the local-service pattern you also see in dentist Facebook ad examples: one procedure, one town, one next step.
2. The attorney to camera. The actual lawyer, not a stock actor, explaining who they take and who they do not. Low production. High trust. The ones that last look like a consultation, not a TV spot.
3. The process explainer. What happens after you call. Intake, evidence, timeline, fee structure named in plain language. Anxiety is the real barrier. Process reduces it.
4. The lead form. Instant form for a case review. Two or three qualifying questions. Form anatomy is in Facebook lead ad examples. The library will not show the form. Infer it from the creative.
5. The proof, carefully. A named outcome only where your bar rules allow it. Many jurisdictions restrict case results, guarantees, and specialist claims. The long-runners in strict markets skip numbers and show process plus face instead.
| Format | Typical CTA | What to steal |
|---|---|---|
| Matter-first static | Free case review | Situation plus town in line one |
| Attorney to camera | Call / book | Who they refuse to take |
| Process explainer | Learn more | The steps they name on screen |
| Lead form | Instant form | Qualifiers you can infer |
| Proof, where allowed | Case review | How specific, and whether numbers appear |
How do I find lawyer Facebook ads in the Ad Library?
Open facebook.com/ads/library. No account needed. Search firm Pages first, then matter phrases.
A useful pass:
- Country on. Bar advertising rules and Meta enforcement both differ by market.
- The five firms you actually lose intakes to, plus two national advertisers in the same practice area.
- Matter language, not "lawyer". "rear end accident", "work injury claim", "spouse visa refusal", "custody modification".
- Town plus practice area. "PI attorney Houston", "employment lawyer Manchester".
- Started running on. That date is the winner signal. Spend and engagement are hidden on commercial ads.
The library is free and has no download button. Ads vanish when paused. The political/EU API does not cover commercial legal ads.
Which lawyer ad formats actually keep running?
Matter plus next step. Gavel stock and "we fight for you" tags do not.
What you will see a lot of, and should treat as decoration:
- Gavel, scales, marble columns.
- "Injured? Call now." with no practice-area detail and no town.
- Actor in a suit who is clearly not the attorney on the Page.
- Guaranteed outcomes. Fragile on both Meta and bar rules.
- Montage of previous TV spots. Expensive, and it rarely lasts in feed.
What you will see less of, and should study harder:
- A 20-second talking head that names one matter and one town.
- A static with the fee model in the first line. "No fee unless we win" where that is actually true and allowed.
- An explainer of the first 48 hours after a crash or a charge.
- A lead ad that asks one disqualifying question up front, so the firm is not paying for matters they do not take.
Lawyer facebook ads that last are closer to a receptionist script than to a Super Bowl spot. If the ad would confuse the person at intake, it is probably a short-runner.
The wider format set is in Facebook ad examples. Use that for card anatomy. Use this page for what firms actually keep paying for.
What should I copy from a lawyer ad, and what should I leave?
Copy the matter phrasing and the next step. Leave the face, the case, and any result you cannot put on your own site under your own rules.
Copy:
- The situation in line one, in the words a client would use.
- The town or county.
- The next step. Call, form, case review, WhatsApp. Pick one.
- Who they do not take. "We do not handle fender-benders under X" is a qualifier, and it is doing targeting work.
- How they describe fees, where your rules allow it.
Do not copy:
- Another attorney's face, voice, or bio.
- Case results, reviews, or client stories.
- "Specialist", "expert", or guaranteed-win language you are not allowed to use.
- A competitor's phone number, obviously, and also their intake script word-for-word.
Second pass: click through. Long-running lawyer facebook ads usually land on a practice-area page or a short form that repeats the same matter. If the ad is a DUI review and the page is a 12-practice mega menu, the click is leaking. Note it.
Speed of follow-up is outside the ad and it decides more intakes than the creative. A firm that calls in five minutes and a firm that emails the next afternoon are not running the same offer, even if the library cards look identical.
How do I save a lawyer swipe file before ads vanish?
Do not screenshot two ads into a partners' Slack. You will lose primary text, the start date, and the exact qualifier that was doing the work.
Our free Meta Ad Library Downloader adds a Download button on facebook.com/ads/library. HD video, images, full carousels. Bulk ZIP plus a searchable index.html swipe board and a CSV. Free, no account, runs in the browser, nothing through Klipio servers. Not affiliated with Meta.
Get it from the Chrome Web Store. Current listing is v1.2.31, 31 languages.
CSV columns that stay useful after a compliance rewrite:
- Firm and the matter searched.
- Format (static, talking head, explainer, lead form).
- Town named.
- CTA.
- Start date.
- Whether a result or testimonial appears. Flag it.
Save the primary text. A lot of legal creative is a generic photo. The swipe is the first sentence and the qualifier.
What searches actually surface useful lawyer ads?
Firm Pages, then matters, then town plus practice area.
Starter list, replace with your book:
- Crash, rear-end, rideshare, truck, slip, work injury.
- DUI, domestic, custody, divorce, landlord, eviction.
- Visa, asylum, employment, wage, discrimination.
- Town names you actually take matters from.
Keyword search is exact-ish. Try "personal injury" and "car accident lawyer". Try "solicitor" and "attorney" in the markets that use both. A hyphen will hide a Page running a perfectly good ad.
Sort by start date. The oldest still-running matter ads are the brief. Last week's TV-cut recut is a mood board.
Ignore ads that only retarget site visitors if you are building a cold-angle file. Those ads assume the person already started an intake.
The library hides spend, so a national PI shop's two-day burst can look as loud as a three-partner firm running a winner for a year. The date on the card is the filter.
The short version
Lawyer Facebook ads that last name one matter, one town, and one next step. Search the Ad Library by firm and by situation language, trust the start date, and save the copy before it disappears. Copy the angle. Leave the asset. Check your professional advertising rules before you build around a swipe.
FAQ
What do good lawyer Facebook ads look like?
They name one practice area and one situation in the first line, show the actual attorney when they can, and ask for a case review or a call. General brand ads rarely last.
Can lawyers run Facebook ads?
Yes, subject to Meta's rules and, more importantly, your bar or SRA advertising rules. Testimonials, results, and specialist claims are restricted in many jurisdictions. This is not legal advice.
How do I find other firms' Facebook ads?
Use the Meta Ad Library at facebook.com/ads/library. Search the firm Page, then search matter phrases and town plus practice area. Filter to your country. Read the "Started running on" date.
Do lead ads work for law firms?
They are common because the offer is a case review, which fits an instant form. The library does not show the form. Cheap leads with no qualifier often waste intake time.
Can I reuse another firm's legal ad?
No. Study the matter phrasing, the town placement, and the CTA. Do not reuse faces, results, or reviews. Copy the angle, not the asset. This is not legal advice.
Why do lawyer ads vanish from the Ad Library?
The library only shows active ads. When a firm pauses a test or a compliance team pulls a line, the card disappears. There is no native history for commercial ads, so save the search while it is live.
