AdSpy Pricing 2026: $149 a Month, No Trial

AdSpy pricing is $149 a month with no free trial (verified August 2026). That is the bill. There is no public starter SKU, no free tier, and no week of kicking the tyres on their dime.

This post is the cost. For whether that bill is rational, read is AdSpy worth it. For what to use instead, read AdSpy alternatives. I will not rewrite those here.

What do you actually pay?

$149 per month. Single plan for most buyers. No trial. No free plan.

Twelve months is $1,788 if you never pause. That is the number to put in the spreadsheet, not $149, because spy tools are the subscriptions people forget to cancel.

I am not quoting an annual discount, a "intro rate," or a two-user deal. If AdSpy's checkout currently shows one, it was not in my verified set as a stable figure. Check adspy.com. Anything advertising "free AdSpy" is a scam.

How does $149 sit against other tools?

Same August 2026 verified list I use everywhere.

Q: Can you defend $1,788 a year?
I search a huge historical Meta archive most days, including comment text -> $149 can be cheaper than the hours
I watch a short competitor list on live ads -> $0 Ad Library; $149 is waste
I need product discovery -> $9–$49 tools, not AdSpy
I need team boards -> Foreplay from $59, not AdSpy
AdSpy's price only works if the archive is a daily instrument.

$149 is 16× BigSpy's $9 entry and 5× Dropispy's $29.90. It is also in the same neighbourhood as Atria's $129, but Atria is not a spy archive. Do not compare those two as "ad tools" on price alone.

PowerAdSpy from $69 is the closer affiliate-shaped understudy on sticker. Foreplay from $59 is cheaper and still the wrong product if what you wanted was AdSpy's dead-ad archive.

What does $149 not include?

A download button on the official Ad Library (that library is free and separate). Spend figures for normal advertisers (Meta does not publish them). TikTok depth (AdSpy grew up on Facebook and Instagram; do not assume coverage). A team workspace in the Foreplay sense. On-brand generation.

You also do not get a trial to find that out. The lack of a trial is part of the price. You pay tuition to learn whether the archive is dense in your niche.

Paused ads vanish from the live library. That disappearance is the whole argument for a paid archive. If you save ads the day you see them, you build a private archive at $0 and you never needed $149 for history you already captured. If you do not save them, $149 is rent on other people's memory.

The official Ad Library API will not replace AdSpy for commercial research. It is political and EU-scoped.

How to decide if $149 is your number

Count research days, not features.

  1. How many days a week do you search ads you cannot find in the live library?
  2. What is an hour of your time worth?
  3. If AdSpy saves two hours a week, $149 is $18 an hour. Maybe fine.
  4. If you open it twice a month, $149 is a magazine subscription with worse photos.

I went deeper on that verdict in the worth-it post. The cost version is: if you cannot name the query that only an archive answers, do not pay archive prices.

For the product-discovery version of that query, $49 Minea or $29.90 Dropispy or $9 BigSpy are the rungs. For a map of the market, best ad spy tools.

What about Klipio on the same spreadsheet?

Disclosure, once: Klipio is ours.

Paid Klipio starts from $79 a month. That is not a discount AdSpy. Nucleus is the brand model. Sentinel watches competitor Meta ads you name. Alchemy generates on-brand creative. Open app.klipio.io. See pricing. The free extension downloads live library ads. It is not AdSpy and it is not the paid app.

Line them up as:

  • AdSpy $149 — search a huge archive, including dead ads and comments.
  • Klipio $79 — watch named competitors, then make our versions.
  • $0 — live library, save as you go.

Finance should not merge those rows.

Does AdSpy ever go on sale?

Treat "50% off AdSpy" emails as affiliate bait until you see the discount inside a logged-in checkout on their domain. Coupon blogs reprint dead codes for years.

Student, nonprofit, or agency rates: possible, not verified here. Ask them. Do not budget for a discount you have not been given in writing.

If a founder in your Slack says they pay less, they may be on an old invoice, a custom deal, or memory. $149 is the figure I verified for August 2026. Your billing page wins if it disagrees.

Currency: some buyers see a local-currency equivalent. Convert before you compare to Foreplay's $59 or PowerAdSpy's $69. A "cheap" local number that is still $149 is still $149.

VAT and sales tax can sit on top. The $1,788 headline is pre-tax in this post. Finance should confirm.

One more cost people skip: onboarding time. A $149 tool with an aging UI costs a week of "where is the filter." That week is part of the price if you are a two-person team. Affiliates who already know AdSpy from 2019 are buying muscle memory. New DTC hires are buying a tutorial.

How do teams usually waste the $149?

They buy it because a guru thumbnail said "AdSpy." They log in twice. They screenshot a UGC ad they could have found in the library. They keep paying because cancelling feels like giving up on "research."

Or they need TikTok and they are still on a Meta archive.

Or they needed a swipe-file for a designer, which is Foreplay from $59, and they are paying $149 for filters the designer will never touch.

Spend the first invoice on a written rule: which queries belong in AdSpy, which belong in the live library, which belong in a product finder. If you cannot write the rule, you will not use the archive enough to clear $1,788.

FAQ

How much does AdSpy cost?

$149 a month as of August 2026. No free trial. No free tier. Check adspy.com if you are reading this much later; I will not invent a new number.

Is there a cheaper AdSpy plan?

Not in the public checkout most people see. It is a single-price product. Cheaper alternatives exist. They are other products.

Can I try AdSpy free?

No. Ignore sites that say otherwise. The free path for live Meta ads is the official Ad Library.

What is AdSpy per year?

$1,788 at $149 × 12, if you never pause and they do not change the rate. Confirm the live checkout before you forecast.

Is AdSpy cheaper than Atria or Klipio?

No versus Klipio's $79 entry. AdSpy is $149. Atria is $129 and is not a spy archive. Different jobs. Compare invoices only after you compare jobs.

Should I buy AdSpy or a cheaper spy tool?

If you need the historical Meta archive and comment search most days, AdSpy's $149 can be the right expensive tool. If you need live ads, products, or boards, spend $0 to $69 instead. Start with the alternatives post, not with a coupon code.
