BigSpy Pricing 2026: Free Tier and Plans From $9

BigSpy pricing starts at $9 a month, and there is a free tier (both verified August 2026). That is the cheapest paid on-ramp in the spy-tool set I quote. The real question is not whether you can afford $9. It is whether a budget index beats the free Ad Library for your job.
This is the cost post. The product review is BigSpy review. Different intent. Do not merge them.
What does BigSpy charge?
Free tier. Then paid from $9/mo.
Higher packs add search volume, filters, and platform access as they usually do in this market. I am not listing those packs. Check bigspy.com. Pricing pages here get redrawn.
Annual billing, if they still offer it, is a vendor-page question. Do not annualize a $9 tool until the free tier has proved coverage in your niche. Coverage is the product. The $9 is just the door.
| Tool | Entry (Aug 2026) | Free? |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Ad Library | $0 | Yes |
| BigSpy | from $9/mo | Yes, free tier |
| Dropispy | $29.90/mo | Yes, free plan |
| Minea | from $49/mo | Limited; check vendor |
| Pipiads | from $49/mo | Check vendor |
| Foreplay | from $59/mo ($49 annual) | Check vendor |
| PowerAdSpy | from $69/mo | Check vendor |
| Klipio paid | from $79/mo | Free extension is a different product |
| AdSpy | $149/mo | No trial, no free |
| MagicBrief | not for sale (shut 31 Jul 2026) | Successor: Canva Grow |
What does $9 get you versus $0?
Versus other paid tools: a lot of index per dollar. Versus the Meta Ad Library: less than the marketing implies, if you only work Facebook and Instagram.
The library is free, complete for running commercial ads, and first-hand. Start date is the longevity signal. Paused ads vanish. No download. API is political/EU only.
BigSpy's $9 is for search across a third-party crawl, extra platforms, and whatever history they keep after ads die. You pay because browsing several networks in one box is faster than five official libraries. You do not pay because Meta hid a ROAS column that BigSpy magically has. Estimates are estimates.
If $9 is so you can look at Facebook ads, stop. That look is free.
What will you actually spend?
Sticker math:
- Free: $0, with caps. Fine for a coverage test. Bad as a daily driver.
- Entry paid: $9 × 12 = $108/year if you never upgrade.
- Real cost: $9 plus the next tier once you hit search limits, plus time fighting a clunky UI.
I will not guess the next tier's price. Open their page when you hit the cap. If the jump is steep, compare Dropispy at $29.90 and Minea at $49 on the same week rather than auto-upgrading inside BigSpy.
Agencies: $9 per person is not how these tools bill. It is usually one login, maybe a seat cap. Confirm. Sharing logins is how you lose the account.
Is the free tier a trap or a gift?
Both. It is a gift because you can see whether your niche exists in the crawl. It is a trap because capped search trains you to think the product is "pretty good" until you try to work.
Work means: twenty advertisers, two countries, three formats, export, come back tomorrow. Free tiers usually break on that list. When they break, you finally learn the paid value. Pay then, not on day one because a YouTube ad said $9.
If the free tier already returns junk in your language, paid will not become a different crawl overnight. Sometimes higher tiers add platforms, not quality. Read the comparison table on their site with that in mind. "Unlimited" that still ranks irrelevant ads is unlimited noise.
Currency and tax sit on top of $9 the same way they sit on $149. Confirm checkout currency. A "9" that is not US dollars still needs a column in the sheet.
When is $9 the wrong cheaper option?
When the job is not "browse a lot of ads."
Creative craft for a known brand. $0 library. Save files. Study 90-day survivors.
Team briefs. Foreplay from $59 ($49 annual). BigSpy will not become a briefing tool at any tier I have seen marketed.
TikTok as the actual channel. Pipiads from $49 may be the better spend even though it is not $9. Specialists beat general cheap indexes on the platform they chose. Verify on their site.
Historical Meta comment search. AdSpy at $149. $9 will not grow into that.
On-brand generation. Not a spy-index job at all.
BigSpy vs the next rungs, as bills
Dropispy $29.90 is 3× BigSpy's entry and is shaped for dropship shops. Pay it if shop spy is the job.
Minea from $49 is ~5× and a broader discovery bundle.
PowerAdSpy from $69 is ~8× for multi-network affiliates who outgrew a budget UI.
AdSpy $149 is ~16×. That multiple only makes sense for archive addicts. I compared the field in best ad spy tools.
None of those multiples matter if BigSpy's index misses your category. Then the correct price is $0 and a different vendor.
Where Klipio's $79 sits on this ladder
Disclosure, once: Klipio is ours.
From $79 a month, you are not buying a cheaper BigSpy. Nucleus is the brand model. Sentinel watches competitor Meta ads. Alchemy generates on-brand creative. Use app.klipio.io. Plans: pricing. Free downloader: separate product, library saves, not a multi-platform index.
$79 versus $9 is a stupid comparison if you ignore the job. $9 is browse. $79 is watch-and-make. $0 is the live Meta feed. Put all three on the budget and label them or you will buy the wrong cheap thing.
How to trial the $9 without turning it into $108 of inertia
- Stay on free until a search cap blocks a real query.
- Pay month one. Do not take annual.
- Save anything useful out of the tool. Indexes and logins end.
- At day 30, list decisions the tool changed. If the list is empty, cancel. $9 is still money.
- If you outgrew filters, jump to a tool that matches the new job, not blindly to BigSpy's next tile.
MagicBrief is gone (31 July 2026). Do not keep it on a BigSpy pricing comparison as a live $X. Canva Grow is the successor; check Canva for that bill.
FAQ
How much does BigSpy cost?
Paid plans from $9 a month, with a free tier, verified August 2026. Higher tiers: check bigspy.com. I will not invent them.
Is BigSpy free?
There is a free tier. Expect caps on searches and filters. It is a demo of the index, not a full research seat.
Is BigSpy cheaper than AdSpy?
Yes. $9 versus $149, and AdSpy has no trial. They are not the same archive. Cheap is not "AdSpy but smaller" in every vertical.
Should I pay $9 if I only run Meta ads?
Usually no. The Ad Library is free and first-hand for live ads. Pay $9 when you need the extra platforms or the crawl's search UI, after the free tier proves coverage.
BigSpy $9 vs Dropispy $29.90?
BigSpy is cheaper and broader. Dropispy is a dropship/shop-shaped $29.90. Pick the job, then the bill.
How does Klipio pricing compare?
Klipio paid starts from $79/mo for competitor watching and on-brand generation, which is not a $9 index. See the pricing page. Do not swap them to win a spreadsheet.
